Advent Day 23: With Us

Whether you believe in the divine or not,

Whether you consider the story of Advent part of your story or not,

•

Wherever you fall on the spectrum of spirituality,

•

(This is a coffee page after all, so thanks for sticking with me through it all!)

I hope we can all look at the story of Advent and come to a similar conclusion.

•

That the divine character at the center of this story is unapologetically FOR people like you and me.

•

Leaving a throne to be with us.

•

Parading his vulnerability because he’s for us, at all costs.

•

Whether you believe the story is true or not, you have to admit that it’s beautiful.

•

And if you do believe in the story, then you have to admit we’ve missed the mark.

•

Are you “with” and “for” The people around you like Jesus was?

•

Do you champion the weak and the vulnerable?

•

Who are you with? Who are you for?

•

Because, if the advent story is true, the divine is with you— for you.
